As the coronavirus pandemic unfolds in the UK, our main priority is ensuring the safety of everyone who comes to our food bank – whether it’s someone needing help, someone volunteering their time, or someone making a donation.
Things are changing quickly, so we’ll keep this page updated regularly with information about what’s happening at Ramsey Foodbank and how people can access support and help us be there for people in crisis. We are working with our referral agency Ramsey Neighbourhood Trust & the Mayor of Ramsey Steve Corney to support those most vulnerable in our community. If you are unable to get transport to your referral agency to get a voucher and pick up food parcel from Ramsey Foodbank.
Please contact Ramsey Neighbourhoods Trust who will be providing emergency transportation support for vulnerable self-isolated clients only. If you need assistance please contact Ramsey Neighbourhoods Trust on 07548 048471 (Office hours Monday-Thursday 10am-3pm – please leave a message if closed).
We’re still supporting people with emergency food but we’re running a reduced service due to measures put in place to slow the spread of infection. We are no longer running a Foodbank drop-in service and we unfortunately no longer provide refreshments. If anything changes, we’ll let you know immediately. Your support is vital at this time, so if you’re considering donating, we’re particularly in need of:
Jam,
Rice,
Coffee,
Pasta sauce,
Tin Custard,
Tin Rice Pudding,
Tin fish,
Tin Fruit,
Sponge pudding,
Biscuits
